As I listen to so many people speak about how important training is, I wonder if they are really seeing the entire picture. Sure, many discuss the need for a holistic approach, but do they all own the solution which, of course, is owned by all of us? Part of my inspiration for this blog came from this new book.
It provides a great perspective but, mostly, from the HR perspective. However, it does pose some interesting insight on how we need to prepare for the onslaught of new workers in 2020 who will be heavily reliant, and expecting, social networking to be an integral part of their professional lives. So, one of the first blurs we should expect is the integration of personal and professional social networking into, simply, social networking.
